IGOR ĐORĐEVIĆ

ACTOR, SERBIA, JURY PRESIDENT

Igor Djordjević (1978) is a theater, film and television actor and professor of acting at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade. He graduated in acting at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, in the class of professor Vida Ognjenović. Since 2002, he has been a permanent member of the National Theater in Belgrade, and for years he has been the youngest drama champion of that theater. He received a number of awards for his artistic work. He is the winner of two Sterija’s and two “Raša Plaović” awards. He is best known to a wider audience as Vlada in the TV series Nepobedivo srce, as Djordje Katić in Koreni and as Ante Vrban in the anti-war film Dara of Jasenovac. He played in the films Devil’s Town, Goose Feather, Hamlet, as well as in the series: Zvezdara, Meso, Kosti, Državni službenik, Black Sun and Junaci našeg doba.

 

INES TANOVIĆ

DIRECTOR, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Director, writer and producer Ines Tanović (1965) was born and raised in Sarajevo. Graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, department of dramaturgy. In two mandate she was president of the Association of Film Workers of BiH. Currently, Ines Tanović is CEO of the Film Center Sarajevo. She has written and directed a number of short and documentary films, but her most notable work is the Bosnian part of the feature omnibus Some Other Stories (2010) and her critically acclaimed debut film Our Everyday Life (2015), which, apart from receiving Eurimages funding, has very successfully toured the film festival circuit. In 2019. she finished her new feature film The Son which was invited to over 20 international festivals, including Belgrade International Film Festival FEST last year.

 

DUBRAVKA KOVJANIĆ

ACTRESS, SERBIA

Dubravka Kovjanić was born in 1979 in Belgrade. She graduated in acting at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, in the class of professor Bora Drašković. She played in most Belgrade’s theaters, in plays: Dreamers, Othello, Nathan the Wise, La Strada, Banat, Why Did Mr. R Go Crazy?, The Boy with the Suitcase, Bernarda Alba’s Home, The Magic Afternoon... She starred in the films Celts, Darkness, Paradigm, Foreign Body, Patria… as well as in TV series: Tycoon, Underneath, The Family, Koreni… She also works as an docent at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade.

 

 

ZACHARIAS MAVROEIDIS

DIRECTOR, GREECE

Born in Athens, Greece, Zacharias Mavroeidis studied architecture and theatre. He is a Berlinale and Sarajevo Talent Campus alumni. He has been working as a director and scriptwriter for film and TV ever since 2006. His debut feature, comedy The Guide (2011) screened in more than twenty international film festivals. In 2018 he completed Across Her Body. His second feature film Defunct (2019) premiered at the International Competition of the 60th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and won the Young Jury and the Audience Award and then at the Belgrade International Film Festival FEST last year, in the Main Competition Program.

 

DANE KOMLJEN

DIRECTOR, SERBIA

Dane Komljen was born in 1986 in Banja Luka, SFR Yugoslavia. He studied at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Le Fresnoy in Tourcoing and the Universität der Künste in Berlin. His short films have been screened at numerous festivals and awarded at the Festival de Cannes, Locarno Film Festival, IFF Rotterdam, FID Marseille, Sarajevo FF, and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City, including a nomination for the European Film Award. All the Cities of the North, his first feature, premiered in 2016 at Locarno and was subsequently shown at over 60 festivals and venues worldwide, received a theatrical release in the USA and has been distributed online by MUBI.
